Here to help

A little guidance.

A few tips for your first batch, and a direct line to the developer when you need help.

Your first compression

  1. Add images or a folder using drag and drop or the file picker.
  2. Start with Everyday at Q3. Choose an output location and adjust settings if needed.
  3. Run compression, review the results, and open the output folder.

Your originals stay untouched. For smaller files, try a lower quality level; for higher fidelity, try a higher one.

Format-specific behavior

SVG and GIF support optimization in their original format and dimensions. TIFF optimization supports eligible single-image files; unsupported layouts are skipped. BMP needs an explicit output format such as PNG or JPEG. PDF and HDR/Gain Map images are not currently supported.

When a file is skipped

A file may be skipped if ordinary compression does not reduce its size, its structure is unsupported, or the requested operation cannot preserve it safely. Read the reason shown in the task row before changing your settings.

If an output folder cannot be used, select another local folder and try again. Configuration import and iCloud sync do not transfer folder permissions between Macs.

For help, include your macOS version, Slimage version, image format, and chosen preset. Share a sample only if you are comfortable sending it.
