No images are uploaded for compression. Processing happens on your Mac. Optional iCloud sync shares supported settings and presets between your Macs, not your images.
No. Results are saved as separate files. For ordinary compression, Slimage skips a result if it is not smaller. An explicitly requested resize or format conversion may produce a larger file.
JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, JPEG XL, SVG, GIF, TIFF, and BMP. SVG and GIF are optimized at their original format and size. Eligible single-image TIFF files can be optimized; BMP requires format conversion. PDF and HDR/Gain Map images are currently skipped.
Yes. Slimage includes three editable presets and lets you add your own without a preset limit. You can export and import configuration files, or enable iCloud configuration sync. Local folder permissions stay on each Mac.
Slimage requires macOS 14 or later and supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. A website download and a Mac App Store edition are planned; public downloads are not available yet.
